Dear daughter-in-law, please wield your power with care. You too may one day be a mother-in-law.

Power. What was once ours as mothers (or so we believed) doesn't just magically transfer over when we become mothers-in-law. The rate at which our so-called power diminishes is a function of three things: time in the role, the kind of gal your child chose as a partner, and the luck of the draw.
